How It Works
The Shin Empire uses a Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) architecture. The CEO approves missions and specs — the key strategic decisions. From there, the Chief of Staff drives product delivery, the XO ensures Mission Control and the empire's operational infrastructure run efficiently, and the Critic verifies quality.
The Critic is essential to the CEO — reviewing the work of the CoS and XO to ensure the quality of specs and deliverables. Think of the CoS as the Chief Product Officer, the XO as the operating backbone, and the Critic as the quality gate. Agents escalate only when blocked. Every mission is tracked, every spec is verified, but the empire runs with significant autonomy between those human checkpoints.
